Five Days in Singapore: Supertrees, Sentosa and Street Food

We kicked off our world-schooling adventure through Southeast Asia in Singapore. It’s a vibrant city with plenty of flights, which made it a natural place to start
The aquarium Oceanarium

The next room happened to not be a room at all. It was one of those round tube things that you walk through and normally they are full of different types of fish but this one was full of SHARKS!!!
Bumboats, Buskers and the Merlion: Our Last Night in Singapore

On our last day in Singapore, we spent the afternoon and evening on and around the water: the Singapore River and Marina Bay.
Splash-tastic time at Adventure Cove

When we were snorkeling, we could get really close to the fish, but some of the people there couldn’t swim and were flopping around like fish out of water. Luckily, the workers gave everyone life jackets, because I think that they have had that experience before!
Singapore, Stop One: We Never Left the Airport

Those Steps Count

I can’t count how many steps we took each time we passed the woman who had set up a roadside beauty shop near our hotel in Singapore. She consistently saw me as a gold mine for mole removal services – IYKYK. By the end of our 5 days, we decided to take a few extra steps to avoid her 😉
Exciting Adventures at teamLab Future World

We spent maybe 20 minutes drawing sea life that would come to life around you on a screen. I drew a jellyfish and a sea urchin, and my mom drew a seahorse, and my dad drew a wonky turtle (he’s not the artist in the family, I am.)
Riding Singapore’s MRT with a Kid: How We Paid, Navigated, and Stayed Cool

How we used Singapore’s MRT for five days with an eight-year-old, including how to pay, how to read the system, and how to avoid the heat.
